I am on H1 and AOS and I refinanced my house at 5% . There were no issues and no questions. Just all the usual documents - W2 , paystubs etc etc . It was with a local bank too and not with any high profile institution.

IV members have saved you a lot of money on attorney phone calls, getting answers to medical test questions and other general questions. Please contribute to IV so that we can keep this effort going. While everybody is busy collecting documents and paperwork for 485, core IV again is doing there personal paperwork and + lobbying.

If you need solutions to your problems, you need to act professionallly as all other IV members do. Please stop throwing tantrums and also mind your P's and Q's when you utter expletives against USCIS. Will you be brave enough (if not foolhardy enough) to reproduce whatever you said here in a letter and send it out to the USCIS? Trust me, you'll not since you'd act politely and professionally to make out your case. We expect you to act with decorum when you discuss pertinent issues in IV forum.

So, has anyone started working on EAD for their/or spouse's LLC?

Why cant I work on my H1B instead( for my spouse's company )? That would take away some risk. Wouldnt it??
USCIS scrutinizes H1s from startups/small companies. They might ask you to prove Ability to pay and if the company is still in it's infant stage, this might be difficult.
Do we need to submit any tax docs( for the new company I would be moving to) when we apply for the AC21 or at any later stage??

I have been on a monthly contributions program that contributes every month to IV since JAN 2007. If this effort requires the money now, is there a way I can divert the monthly to this effort for the next 3 months. Or should I cancel my monthly contribution and just donate a lump sum for this effort?

Any sample letters to Senators with the 'text' outlined for this current cause?
I'm thinking duly signed letters have more impact.
We have sent letters in the past only to get a standard CANNED answer. It is my opinion that the letters we send do not have any impact, cos as soon as they see "Immigration" as the subject, they (staff) sends the standard letter they have definining the position back.
I do not mean to discourage you, but the need of the hour is to call all the senators. There are 100 of them.
If you were going to do something in addition to the phone calls, Please set up an appointment w/the senator or staff and do a 20 minute Powerpoint presentation. That is more effective.

Well there is definite gain for people who came here earlier which is more fair system. For example, I came in USA in 12/1997 but my PD is 06/2005. If someone who came to USA in 2003 (after 5 years I came) and is lucky to apply GC...lucky to get his labor+140 approved, he would get PD earlier than me!!
It may not help at all.
Chances are once you make the arrival date as the priority date, USCIS/DOS would set the cut-off dates to reflect the earlier PD's. For example if it is now May 2001, it could retrogress to May 1995. I don't see any gains there.
