Going the earned path would not alienate many members who may not have contributed recently - but nevertheless are still contributing otherwise. People who have contributed in the past can be retroactively given access for a month for every $25 they've contributed.

I tried last year for my daughter.They will not issue SSN for child Alliens.I have argued showing 20 C.F.R. � 422.104(a)(3).There is no use.I got for my wife only with EAD.
In the SSN application, it says
If you check "Legal Alien Not Allowed to Work," you must provide a document from a U.S.
Federal, State, or local government agency that explains why you need a Social Security number and that you meet all of the requirements for the U.S. government benefit. [B][B]NOTE: Not all U.S.State or local benefits are acceptable for non-work SSN purposes. Contact SSA to see if your reason qualifies.
If you check "Other," you must provide a document from the U.S. government agency that explains why you need a Social Security number and that you meet all of the requirements for a Federal benefit except for the number.
I have shown stimulus payment document that says you must have SSN for getting stimulus payment.They didnot accept. Gov want to avoid H4s.purposefully they added SSN requirement.
One of friend told they give SSN provided child has some state ID card.But state ID cannot be issued untill 16 years age for PA state.If some one got SSN without EAD for H4 kindly post here it is very useful for H4s.

$20 (2% of $1000 monthly bill) * 2k ( 10% of 20k IV members) = 40K per month
I guess 10% people with $1000 monthly credit card bill is not too optimistic.. is it?
One simple way to measure this is, lets have poll. ( how do you create poll?) I have never done it before.

I applied for my AP renewal on June 2nd by mail and the same got delivered on June 8th but no reply as of now. I sent me personal check for 305 USD. Please advice.

In my case, I filed through an attorney with TSC. My papers were Fedexed to reach on 6/2 and my attorney sent me scanned copy of receipt notice on 6/8, not sure when he received the RN's but the Receipt Date / Notice Date in the Recipet Notice is 6/2, If your documents reached on 6/8 which is a Monday, leave it a couple days and followup. You have to leave some time for the actual RN to reach you via USPS as well. The payment was made for my case to the Attorney and they cut a check for USCIS. So I do not know how soon the checks will be encashed. Good luck with your renewal process.

I am also worried. I called my attorneys office to inform them but of course like always he is in a meeting. I am sure this was an error but I am hoping its not call me optimistic but I like the smell of green card :)

I got 2 year EAD from NSC in August 2008.
Wanted to apply for Advance Parole (second time).
Is NSC issuing 2 year AP's ?
Wondering if any body got Advance Parole for 2 years from NSC.
Also, I appreciate if any one can share their experince about INFOPASS to get Advance Parole in case of emergency
(if one did not apply for AP & need to travel urgently).

True if one want to die for Citizenship , But job market is not as great as here. One needs to be really lucky to be there and I also agree that its lot easier in life once you have a stable job. I have some friends who are well settled and enjoying a cool life. WHere as some are still looking for one and many moved back to US or Gulf once they got citizenship so it all depends... But Certain Citizenship of Canada is easiest compared to that of US and well respected too compared to US.
