Is fragomen filing EAD & AP on time?
I have been following up with them to file my EAD renewal since 10 days and today I received a response that they are busy with audit and will do as soon as they can, I don't want my ead application to be delayed, its already more than a week I was eligible to file EAD renewal.

Hello mmandal,
Many of us who visit IV forums everyday know that snethil1 is an idiot. I would highly recommend more people to add him to your ignore list, just as I did. I read his post because you quoted him in your post. Otherwise his posts do not even show up on my screen. He and his posts are inconsequential if you add him to your ignore list.
Hope this helps.
Thanks,
This guy's a congenital pessimist.
Companies were vague on numbers. So how could they satisfy Senators. I knew only a few companies gave detail about open positions including Microsoft, Intel and oracle. How you can impress Senate or house? But anti immigrants gave all the layoff numbers, h1b numbers used and details of abuses happened for past few years. It is not just money power will win. With facts and numbers if you have money power then you can win. That is reason for past 3 years H1b numbers or GC numbers were not increased inspite of heavy lobbying.

Dear Mr
Thank you for contacting my office with your thoughts on immigration reform. Your correspondence is highly valuable, and I appreciate your sentiments.
Like you, I am deeply concerned about our current immigration system. I support a comprehensive immigration reform strategy that will end illegal entry and effectively address the reality that 12 million undocumented immigrants are currently living in the United States , many of whom hold jobs, make significant contributions to our economy, and have children who are American citizens.
As you know, immigration reform requires action on many fronts. The Department of Homeland Security does not have the resources to adequately protect our borders, and the system for legal immigration to our country is broken. Citizenship and Immigration Services must be reformed to eliminate the unacceptable backlog of immigration applications for legal immigrants and effectively track immigrants granted legal entry. We must also be sure that the current laws on the books - which require employers to verify immigration papers - are enforced. No one wants to make this task more onerous or burdensome, but if we reduce the demand for labor from illegal immigrants it will lead to fewer people entering this country illegally.
Agriculture is one of the most important industries in upstate New York . While some farmers can find sufficient labor locally, many can not find the workers who allow them to keep their family farms in business. I do not support cutting off the labor supply to upstate farmers who depend on seasonal workers to run their businesses. America 's farmers should not be punished for government's failure to adequately police our borders and implement a reasonable, transparent guest worker program.
Congress faces the urgent task of enacting comprehensive reforms that will preserve the traditions that have made this nation great, while addressing the security challenges we face. As debate continues on immigration, please be assured that I will work with my colleagues on both sides of the aisle to reform a broken system in a way that protects families, respects human rights, strengthens our border security, and enforces the laws of our country.
Again, thank you for your opinion and letter. I am most appreciative. Should you have additional comments or questions, please do not hesitate to contact me. My door is always open.
For up-to-date news and information about our district, please visit my website at Congressman Paul Tonko : Home (http://tonko.house.gov) and sign up for my E-Newsletter.

Thank you for your e-mail. Each and every piece of correspondence I receive is important because it allows me to better understand the New Yorkers I serve in the United States Senate.
As you can imagine, my office receives a great number of messages every day regarding a variety of issues this is particularly true of e-mails. It makes me proud to know that my constituents take an active role in our government by corresponding with me, and I look forward to responding to your concerns in greater detail. In the meantime, I just wanted to let you know that your e-mail has been received, and to ask for your patience until I send you a more detailed response.
Again, thank you for writing. Please feel free to visit my website Senator Charles E. Schumer (http://schumer.senate.gov) to follow my work in the Senate and to learn more about the services my office can provide to you.
Warmest regards

A very surprising thing happened in our company today. Shocking it may seem, they laid off 5 employees in my department today without any notice. Today's happenings makes me want to gather as much info as possible in case something unexpected might happen.
I am a July 2nd filer of 140/485 concurrently. No I140 approval yet. Received AP and EAD for both me and my wife.
If I request my employer not to revoke I140, will I be able to use my EAD for my next job?
Can someone give suggestions on what other options I have if something terrible happens to me?
Thanks

I guess there is very little follow-up on this issue.
That doesn't mean nothing is being done. I am continuing to do a lot of work on this, but there is nothing new to post right now.
To date I have been able to get every newspaper in the country to do stories on this, as well as three scathing editorials in the NY Times, LA Times, and Mercury News, all of which slammed the government for its action.
I have worked with the staff of a member of Congress to ensure that house representatives were aware of the issue.
As a result, the house of representatives unanimously passed the HEART Act giving stimulus payments to affected soldiers overseas.
I have been able to get an important legal organization to review and research the topic for possible litigation.
I would love to go over the legal details with you, but it is not prudent to give too much detail here right now.
And finally, I have been corresponding with immigrants like you providing advice and updates on the situation.
I am not sure what more you expect.

Can you please explain how is this related?
Our I-140 has already been filed but we dont have receipt notice for that.
We are wondering how to file I-485 without I-140 receipt notice?
This may be useful to understand a little more about e-filing of I-140 for those of who doesn't know much because the employer/lawyer doesn't give u full information. There appears to be no e-filing for I-485. Anyway navigate thru the USCIS pages for more info.

If you are required to obtain a labor certification from the Department of Labor, do so prior to E-Filing Form I-140. The original Labor Certification signed by the filer and certified by the Department of Labor must be submitted with supporting documentation to the Service Center that has jurisdiction over your case. See your Confirmation Receipt Notice for the Service Center's mailing address. The required initial evidence must be received by the Service Center within seven business days of E-Filing the Form. Concurrent E-Filing
E-Filed I-140 petitions can only be Concurrently E-Filed with the following applications under the following conditions:

If you E-File Form I-907 by itself or concurrently with any other application, please see the list of Special Mailing Addresses.
Supporting documentation
Submitting Supporting Documentation
Supporting documentation is the initial evidence that is required as proof of identification and as justification of eligibility for a benefit. These documents are required for USCIS to make a decision on your application. Examples of supporting documentation include copies of birth certificates, marriage licenses, Permanent Resident Cards, etc.
Check the instructions for the form you are E-Filing to determine what supporting documentation, if any, is required.
Instructions for Submitting Supporting Documentation for E-Filed Applications Only
Review the instructions for your E-Filed form to determine what supporting documentation is required.
Please Note: If you E-File Form I-90, you must submit all required initial evidence and supporting documentation at the time of your in-person appearance at your local ASC. Please see the Form-Specific Instructions for E-Filing I-90.
Gather your supporting documentation for your E-Filed application.
Originals and Copies. In almost all cases, submit a photocopy of your supporting document to the USCIS. For more information, see How Do I Know If I Need Original Documents? If form instructions state that a copy of a document may be filed with an application, and you choose to send USCIS the original, USCIS may keep that original for our records.
Translations. Any foreign language document must be accompanied by a full English translation that the translator has certified as complete and correct, and by the translator's certification that he or she is competent to translate the foreign language into English.
Print a copy of your Confirmation Receipt notice and attach it as a cover page (or first page) to your supporting documentation package.
DO NOT include a copy of your E-Filed application with your supporting documentation.
If you E-Filed several applications concurrently (see E-Filing Forms Concurrently), you will have a Confirmation Receipt notice for each application submitted.
Include the Confirmation Receipt notice(s) as the first page of the supporting documentation for each application.
DO NOT include any paper-based applications or fees with your supporting documentation for the E-Filed application.
NOTE: All Attorneys and Organizational Representatives E-Filing an application or petition on behalf of a client, MUST perform the following steps:
Generate a copy of the G-28 (it will be generated as part of the PDF file application after you click the Finish button).
Confirm that the Applicant/Beneficiary/Petitioner name and address information does appear on the G-28.
If the Applicant/Beneficiary/Petitioner name and address information does NOT appear on the G-28, print out the G-28 (it will printout with the PDF file application).
Make a copy of the G-28 for each application electronically submitted.
Fill in the Applicant/Beneficiary/Petitioner name and address information by hand.
Sign each G-28.
Submit the completed and signed G-28s to the address on the Confirmation Receipt notice with the required supporting documentation.
If you E-File Form I-907 by itself or concurrently with any other application, please see the list of Special Mailing Addresses.
Keep a copy of your Confirmation Receipt notice(s) and application(s) for your records, noting what supporting documentation you mailed and the date you mailed it. You may wish to make a copy of the entire package before mailing it.
Place all supporting documentation into one package and mail it to the address provided on the Confirmation Receipt notice. If you E-File Form I-907 by itself or concurrently with any other application, please see the list of Special Mailing Addresses.
Failure to follow these guidelines may result in processing delays or even denial of your application.

I think for Indian EB-3s, if your priority date is after March 2002, it is definitely worthwhile to do the conversion. Chinese EB-3s with priority dates after Sept. 2003 should definitely convert too.
Even considering the time to find a job, file a new labor and I-140, it still looks like that you will get your GC faster than waiting in a not-moving line. The recent history has shown that the visa bulletin can get stuck for a specfic cutoff date for half a year. Besides, EB3s have been and will always be of a lower priority just as someone said in other posts.

Hey Risker,
It is a FACT that you/your class is more agrieved than any other possible class. But we need to be high on intellect and low on emotions. There is reason to wait till SEP. Besides although I am not sure but Labor and I-140s are for the Employers and Employees take over only in the I-485 stage. So we need to strategize instead of doing wishfull thinking. Its lot usefull if we be analytical in these threads rather than pouring out emotions.

I hope they have some kind of link with DOL. Because my approved labor case status changed from Certified to Data Review and back to Certified.
Where did you see the change in case status? Do you have access to the PERM system? Are you the employer/representative of the firm responsible for PERM??
thanks

If you are from Austin or SA, make that call now. It does not take more than 2 minutes.
We have meetings with Rep Smith's office(s) and all your calls will make an impact on the outcome.

thx div_bell.
sorry, i missed the obvious. In the links i posted earlier and also on I-131 instr page, it clearly states that Bio-Metric is a must for 1) Re-Entry doc and 2) Refugee doc, but not Advance Parole. duh! :-)
But i think when u e-file they ask for FP even though its Advance Parole.
im paper-filing now wiht no FP fee.
